POPIA & PAIA Notice

This notice explains your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and how to request access to information under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes in detail what we collect and why.

A‑Z Vending Solutions (Pty) Ltd takes all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of its users. For the purpose of this notice, "personal information" is defined as set out in PAIA. The PAIA may be downloaded from polity.org.za.

Your rights under POPIA

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in POPIA, you have the right to:

• know whether we hold personal information about you, and to access it;
• request that we correct or delete personal information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or obtained unlawfully;
• object, on reasonable grounds, to the processing of your personal information;
• not be subject to direct marketing by electronic means without your consent, and to withdraw that consent at any time;
• submit a complaint to the Information Regulator.

How to exercise your rights

To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to processing, contact our Information Officer using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before we act on your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

Requesting access to information (PAIA)

You may request access to records we hold in accordance with PAIA. To make a request:

• Submit your request in writing to our Information Officer, using the prescribed PAIA request form.
• Provide enough detail to identify the record and the right you are seeking to exercise or protect.
• Provide your contact details and the form in which you'd like to access the record.

Prescribed access and reproduction fees may apply before a request is processed. Our PAIA Manual, which sets out the records we hold and the request procedure in full, is available on request from our Information Officer.

If you believe we have not handled your personal information or an access request in line with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator:
